Auckland Art Gallery

www.aucklandartgallery.govt.nz Auckland Art Gallery has the most extensive collection of national and international art in New Zealand, with major holdings of New Zealand historic, modern and contemporary art. This public collection includes outstanding works by Maori and Pacific Island artists, as well as European painting, sculpture and prints. The main gallery (cnr of Wellesley and Kitchener Sts) is now closed for development. Exhibitions and events continue at the New Gallery. Works from the collection are on show in the ground floor collection displays. Upstairs special exhibitions will feature works by prominent New Zealand and international artists.
