Historic Places Trust The New Zealand Historic Places Trust is the country's leading heritage agency whose mission is to keep New Zealand's heritage places alive and useful.The Trust's activities relate to the recognition, protection and promotion of New Zealand's historic and cultural heritage.

Harvey Benge "Harvey Benge has been working full time as a camera artist since 1992. He is interested in the international urban social landscape and the notion of parallel lives. "While something is happening here, something else is happening over there". While the main thrust of his work has been through published work, he has also exhibited internationally and has work in major public and private collections. He works from both Auckland and Paris."

Hopetoun Alpha "Built in 1875, as the home of the Beresford Street Congregational Independents, Hopetoun Alpha's elegant Greek Doric architecture was the design of the then well known architect, Philip Herepath. Captain William C Daldy was also involved in the project and was a major contributor in financing the construction, which is reputed to be the first poured concrete building in New Zealand."

Hopper, Edward: Nighthawks "Apparently, there was a period when every college dormitory in the country had on its walls a poster of Hopper's Nighthawks; it had become an icon. It is easy to understand its appeal. This is not just an image of big-city loneliness, but of existential loneliness: the sense that we have (perhaps overwhelmingly in late adolescence) of being on our own in the human condition."

Hungry Creek - Home "We are located 45 minutes drive North of Auckland at Puhoi. The workshops and studios are nestled in 20 acres of beautiful native bush, providing a unique environment for students to work in. Class sizes are limited to 15-20 students enabling them to gain individual attention from tutors.

Students come to Hungry Creek to become artists, craftspeople, designers, teachers or to gain employment with associated industries."
